This is an illustration that I created for Japana Home, a brand specializing in the sale of high-quality kitchen knives inspired by Japan. The task involved creating artwork for their knife packaging. Collaborating closely with the business owner, we aimed to develop an illustration that would evoke the essence of Japan, drawing inspiration from Japanese art. Hence, we decided to showcase a familiar motif—the wave—but with a unique twist. The illustration features a powerful woman holding a knife, symbolizing strength and skill. This depiction not only resonates with Japanese aesthetics but also embodies the precision and excellence associated with Japana Home's knife craftsmanship.
